Mr Pietro takes the no-fanfare approach that chef and restaurateur Pietro Barbagallo (Kaprica) is known for. It’s reflected in Mr Pietro’s down-to-earth dining and decor.
The one-page menu features Barbagallo’s signature lo-fi Italian soul food, and the white-walled space is filled with warm wooden furnishings such as polished floorboards, an assortment of bentwood chairs and a custom marble-topped wood bar.

What a delightful find! This Italian restaurant truly exceeded my expectations. The ambiance is fantastic, and you can feel the passion for Italian food as soon as you walk in. The staff were incredibly knowledgeable; they guided us through the menu and suggested some amazing dishes. We started with the antipasto platter, which was generous and beautifully presented. I decided on the classic spaghetti carbonara for my main and it was cooked to perfection – just the right amount of creaminess without being overpowering. I must say, my only criticism would be that the service was a tad slow, especially when it came to bringing our dessert. But, once we had the panna cotta, I forgot all about the wait. It was light and smooth, exactly what I needed after a hearty meal. I can’t wait to return and try more from their menu!

I recently had the pleasure of dining at this charming Italian restaurant and I can't rave enough about my experience! As soon as I stepped inside, I was greeted by the warm and inviting atmosphere, complete with rustic decor that transported me straight to Italy. The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive, ensuring that our glasses were never empty and that we knew the specials of the day. We started with the bruschetta, which was absolutely divine – the tomatoes were perfectly ripe and the basil added a fresh kick. For the main course, I ordered the seafood risotto, and it was hands down one of the best I’ve ever had. It was rich and creamy, overflowing with fresh seafood that tasted like it was caught that very morning. I also appreciated the extensive wine list; the waiter helped us choose a lovely Chianti that paired perfectly with our meal. My only minor critique would be that the dessert menu was a bit limited, but we opted for the tiramisu, which was a perfect ending to our meal. Overall, I left feeling satisfied and delighted. I would recommend this gem to anyone in search of authentic Italian cuisine!

I had a lovely dinner at this Italian eatery last weekend. The atmosphere felt cozy and inviting, making it a perfect spot for a relaxed meal. I ordered the margherita pizza, and it was delightful; the base was thin and crispy, topped with fresh basil and quality mozzarella that brought it all together. My partner had the gnocchi, which was fluffy and delicious, but I wished it had a bit more sauce. The service was attentive, and I appreciated the staff's recommendations for wine. They really know their stuff! Overall, it was a wonderful evening, and I would happily return to explore more of their menu.
